Our newest Custom Studio Sleeper design is the 100” wide x 94” long, which will fit on the T680, T880 and W990, Kenworth’s newest models. This is the smallest sleeper built which will fit on the standard wheel base of 244” for the T680 and T880. For trucks with a longer wheel base, the sleeper can start at 110” in length then every 10” increment, which will be 120”, 130’, 140” and etc. Sleeper can be constructed with the standard roof or the mid roof design.
The
standard unit floor is assembled with hydronic in-floor radiant heat,
insulated with 3.5” of spray foam, then a fiberglass belly seals it off
from the elements and the inside is covered with fiber composite culture
stone flooring. The radiant heated floor is heated by the engine’s
anti-freeze coolant. When the tractor is not running, we have installed
a Webasto Hydronic Coolant Heater or Espar Hydronic Coolant Heater to
continue to heat the floor and the tractor engine so when it is time to
start the engine it is pre-warmed so there will be no problems.
Our
sleeper comes with a 2800 watt true sine wave invertor charger with
3-way automatic transfer switch and wired for shore power. Also include
is a Dometic Roof AC, Fantastic Vent, a set of house batteries with an
automatic charging relay. Along with all the other goodies for the
inside. The cabinets are Natural Birch clear coated.
The
sleeper comes painted to match the base color of your tractor. Custom
Studio Sleepers will remove the factory sleeper and install your new
custom sleeper. The custom sleeper is mounted using Cabmate, the
leading cab air suspension system, which includes 5 airbags and 6
shocks.
